Here's a brief description of each type of jump:

Tandem skydiving

  • Takes about 5 hours.
  • Instructor hooked to your back through the skydive.
  • Simple, quick, and easy.
  • Please call to schedule an appointment.

After payment and registration you will receive 10 to 15 minutes of training from an instructor who will be jumping with you or your group. We will book you on a plane to go up. When ready to go you and your instructor will gear-up and check the gear before you get on the plane. A quick practice at the plane and off you go. You will get about a 30 minute plane ride up to 10,000 feet during which you will hook-up, review the jump, check the gear again, move to the door and jump! The free fall will be about 30 seconds after which we will give you the opportunity to pull you own ripcord followed by a ride under the parachute ranging from 1 to 7 minutes. Post-jump celebrations of certificates and tee-shirts. More details about Tandem skydiving.

Static line skydiving

  • Plan on spending the entire day.
  • Jump by yourself.
  • Starting at 9:30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Please call but walk-ons are welcome.

Your day will begin with payment and registration. Training consists of about five hours of class room training and some piratical training outside. After training we put you on the next available plane with and instructor take you up to 3,200 feet. We open the door, you climb out and let go! The static line (a line about 8 feet long connected to the airplane and your parachute) innovates the opening of the parachute. You fly the parachute to the ground while we assist you by offering advice through a radio with which we can speak to you. Post-jump celebrations include tee-shirts and certificates of achievement. More details about Static Line skydiving.

Accelerated Freefall skydiving

  • Plan on spending the entire day.
  • Wear your own parachute with 2 instructors holding.
  • Fly the parachte yourself.
  • By appointment only. Training is required for this kind of jump.

Your day will start with the staticline class and jump. Then you will receive personal instruction by an AFF instrtuctor lasting about an addational hour. You and two instructors go up to 12,000 feet and exit together. Your will get feedback and advice from you instructors while in freefall via hand signals. We will plan on your pulling the ripcord. Your canopy ride and landing will be the same as in a staticline jump. Great method for those who want to be on the fast track to geting their license to skydive. What customers say about Skydive Kentucky
"The staff and tandem instructors at SkyDive KY were amazing! Tammy was so friendly, informative, and helpful! Greg and Larry were wonderful tandem instructors -- they were professional and fun. I was surprised at how safe I felt even though I was jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet. Our pilot was kind and loved showing us photos once we touched down. I can't think of a better place for a first sky dive. Not only seriously considering more jumps, but possibly certification! Thank you!"
